Including & Accepting, Empowering & Enabling, Growing & Transforming

What do we do?

We work alongside 0-18 year olds and their families and love to give space for them to gather together, find support and friendship, feel valued, and think through things that are important to them.

Who are we?

We are a partnership between four local churches who work alongside children and young people in Chapel Allerton and Meanwood. We are a registered charity number 1182938.

Our partner churches are:

Chapel Allerton Methodist Church
St Matthew’s CE Church
Stainbeck URC
Chapel Allerton Baptist Church

Background

The four churches who support Thrive Leeds have worked together since 2005, initially as Chapel Allerton Youth Project. We became a CIO in April 2019 to build on the good foundation that had been laid throughout the previous years, and at the same time changing our name to Thrive Leeds.

Our vision

Thrive is built on our values of Including & Accepting, Empowering & Enabling, and Growing & Transforming.

We see a community where young people:

  • belong, are accepted and growing in including others
  • can contribute, make a difference and impact their locality
  • are growing in confidence, resilience and their ability to cope with challenges.

It is enjoyable meeting new people and building connections..

I love how everyone is included and involved!!

The snacks are great and the outings are good.

I love chatting to everyone about their day….
I like the range of things to do like the different weekly activities.
What I like about Drop-In is that there is lots of people who are very friendly also there is lots of different arts and crafts that are very fun.
You get to communicate, make friends and enjoy activities with new people and leaders.
I like that it is a really nice community and everyone is really nice.
My favourite thing is playing games with people.
