What do we do?

We work alongside 0-18 year olds and their families and love to give space for them to gather together, find support and friendship, feel valued, and think through things that are important to them.

Who are we?

We are a partnership between four local churches who work alongside children and young people in Chapel Allerton and Meanwood. We are a registered charity number 1182938.

Our partner churches are:

Chapel Allerton Methodist Church
St Matthew’s CE Church
Stainbeck URC
Chapel Allerton Baptist Church

Background

The four churches who support Thrive Leeds have worked together since 2005, initially as Chapel Allerton Youth Project. We became a CIO in April 2019 to build on the good foundation that had been laid throughout the previous years, and at the same time changing our name to Thrive Leeds.

Our vision

Thrive is built on our values of Including & Accepting, Empowering & Enabling, and Growing & Transforming.

We see a community where young people:

  • belong, are accepted and growing in including others
  • can contribute, make a difference and impact their locality
  • are growing in confidence, resilience and their ability to cope with challenges.
